Sunday Worship
Sunday services at Albany Creek Uniting Church are welcoming, supportive and engaging. We’re casually liturgical. We take discipleship seriously but we’re not too serious about ourselves. We believe worship involves our hearts as well as our minds so we’re doing our best to be a congregation that is both spiritually and intellectually invigorating. We love to see new faces and are thrilled to welcome people of all ages and backgrounds into our community.
What if I have Children?
We love children at Albany Creek Uniting Church, especially those whose joyful exuberance makes it hard to sit still. Each week after the children’s address kids share the worship space, gathering together at the children’s tables for crafts and activities related to the day’s reading.
CAMEOS
CAMEOS is a senior friendship group that meets from 9:30am – 11:30am on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) at Albany Creek Uniting Church. CAMEOS offers a varied program including music, entertaining activities, and guest speakers.
There is no exact age when a person becomes a “senior.” Some say 55 or 60 and others, 62.
We say if you visit our group and are blessed by your experience, you are welcome!
So if you would like to spend some time once a month with others for morning tea, fellowship, and entertainment please come by and say hello.
May Fair
Each year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day Albany Creek Uniting Church holds our annual May Fair.
The May Fair is an opportunity to come along and enjoy local school bands and choirs as they preform throughout the day. While you are there why not indulge in a traditional morning tea or fill your stomach with one of our tasty hamburgers. There are also plenty of snacks for the kids including fresh cinnamon donuts, fresh popcorn and fairy floss.
If you are looking for the perfect present for mum the May fair has multiple stalls with hand made gifts just perfect for Mother’s Day. If your mum has more of a sweet tooth we also have home made cakes, fudges, toffees and many other treats that will make the perfect gift.
To add to the excitement the May Fair also has a silent auction with an array of exciting gifts donated by the local business community. You can also grab a bargain or a collectable at the trash and treasure as well as add to the garden from our variety of live plants and flowers.
The May Fair is a wonderful community event where all are welcome so we hope to see you there!
